Alright I just came into mind with this because I was looking up ways on how to draw anime and stuff to learn something new with the whole drawing concept.
Then I came across this forum of people who said anime is stupid and awesome and so on.
but personally I dont like anime. Neither do I hate it because I dont know about it that much to judge.
But while on my search on the web to draw anime and all that stuff, I found a website that teaches how to draw but I left..... And I left because, well although i'm a male
I cant say I approve of the whole "anime art style" that much because of the over-drawn woman in these anime shows or drawings. I have a huge respect for woman and I dont like the sight of disrespect towards a gender. But what I saw were large breasted woman and to me, it looked unnatural and sexist in my opinon of mind and what I saw in those drawings just made me mad and offended because in a way it really degrades woman by showing that stuff and i'm sure it leaves alot in a womans mind to think that all guys care about are large breasted woman and I dont by the way because I prefer a smart, kind and very strong woman who has the potential to be a leader. To me large breast anime only show that the artist only thinks that the only value of a woman is her breast and that is what drives me off to anger. But before you quote me on anything, I would like to point out that there are some animations I do like. Which isn't really alot but still.
I prefer Avatar the last airbender and G-Gundam and as far as I know there is nobody who has never seen Dragon ball Z and I haven't seen any large breasted woman in any of these shows so that's out of the question. But back to the question because I want some answers on this topic. Do you think anime is sexist?
If so how would you make a change and what improvements would you make?
If not then please explain why you dont think anime is sexist.
